Saffrine to take on Canberra Marathon - April 13, 2025
42kms of resilience, strength and determination
“Keeping physically fit is what has helped Dan mentally survive the harsh conditions of his incarceration.”
Dan Duggan has been locked in maximum security for over 830 days.
He faces no charges in Australia and was an Australian citizen when the alleged offences took place over 12 years ago.
Dan became a permananet resident in 2004, an Australian citizen in 2012 and has 6 Australian born children.
The United States took their property on which they were hoping to build their dream home and Dan was locked in solitary confinement for over 19 months.
Saffrine’s Canberra Marathon run represents the resilience, strength and determination of this family to see justice done.
Please support the family in this fight!

After 19 months in solitary confinement, Dan was moved to Macquarie Correctional Centre in Wellington.
During family visits to the prison in Wellington, the Duggan children have been supported by Shine For Kids.
This organisation has helped the kids to cope in the awful situation that is visiting a parent in incarceration.
The Duggan family want to thank Shine For Kids for their ongoing support and encourage you to donate to them as Saffrine’s chosen charity during her marathon run.

“I feel like I have already run many marathons during the 27 months since Dan was arrested.”
